But romaine calm, I’ve got a simple solution, shop local and shop fresh at one of your local farmers markets. Offering a wide variety of products, I can bet you can find something to tingle your taste buds. Not only will you get fresh produce, but you’ll get the best produce as all items sold come straight from the farmers and producers themselves. Situated downtown right next to the harbor, the Annapolis FRESHFARM Market attracts both residents and tourists alike. They are proud supports of farmers and producers from Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia at this market. Stop by and shop for local fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats and pastured eggs, sweet and savory baked goods, locally roasted coffee, Maryland-made wine, handmade soaps, and so much more! Severna Park Farmers Market only sells goods they produce, grow, or harvest and not items they have purchased and plan to re-sell. This time of year seasonal products include early season bedding plants, potted plants, hanging baskets, herbs, and spring vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, onions and other greens. As the season progresses a much wider variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and plants will be available.

With a wide variety of vendors, you are guaranteed to find something that fits your lifestyle. Approximately 10 Baltimore County farmers and producers have come together to offer high quality local in-season produce, meats, milk, ice cream, eggs, flowers, goods, gifts, and more to the community. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the local participants: Albright farms Inc., Harford Vineyard & Winery, Hills Forest Fruit Farm, One Straw Farm LLC., Prigel’s Family Creamery, Quite A Stir, Warns Produce, and White House Nursery.
The Baltimore County Farmers Market is located at the Maryland State Fairgrounds and open every Wednesday through October 26th, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
From local produce growers to watermen and seafood distributors, from bakers to ranchers, the Easton Farmers Market provides an entire meal in a friendly and festive environment. Live music by regional and national acts can be enjoyed from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and lends a festive quality to the open air market. With many returning farmers and some new fabulous vendors, the St. Michaels Farmers Market is something you won’t want to miss. Vendors include: Blue Heron Coffee, Blades Orchards, Eves Cheese, Krediers Tomatoes, Know Good Farms, Old World Breads, Piazza Italian Market, Sandhill Farms, Spirit Grower, and Stonehouse Farms.

The Cambridge Main Street Farmers’ Market is one of the only waterfront farmers’markets in the state. Support your local farmers and the Mid-Shore’s rich agricultural heritage when you buy local and enjoy fresh healthier products while reducing fuel emissions.

Located at Christ Church, Kent Island Farmers’ Market is the Eastern Shore’s only year round product-only farmers’ market! Their members’ products feature raw milk artisan cheeses, yogurt made with local maple and honey, sustainable wild caught fish (Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Halibut, and Mahi), local wheat artisan breads, free range eggs and chicken, organic fruits and vegetables, naturally raised pork, grass-fed beef, milk, gourmet flavored hummus, various nuts and nut butters, olives and olive oils, gluten free baked goods, savory soups made from scratch, and much more!
