Popularly known for her big platinum blonde hair, long nails, and Long Island accent, Theresa Caputo is just your average Long Island individual … except one small thing … she communicates with the dead.
This Long Island native has a gift that most people don’t quite understand. Some may even say its fake. For over 15 years, Theresa has been using this gift to help others find closure from lost souls by delivering messages in the hopes that it will help them to heal.
Long Island Medium, a reality hit TV series on TLC, debuted its first episode in September of 2011. Now nine seasons later, Theresa is taking her gift on the road in front of a live audience. The next season of Long Island Medium is schedule to launch in early 2017.
Theresa will be performing her “Theresa Caputo Live! The Experience” tour on Saturday, October 1st, 7:30 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. Ticket prices are $39.75, $59.75. or $89.75 and can be purchased here. This show will bring Theresa face-to-face with her fans as she is guided through the audience by a spirit, allowing the them to really witness what she does first hand.

Seventh Annual Classic Wooden Sailboat Rendezvous and Race

A fun gathering of classic wooden sailboats, showcasing history and elegance. These historic boats will be on display at the National Sailing Hall of Fame (NSHOF) docks where there will also be free demonstrations and talks, a chance to board some of the boats on display, and a fun dingy/row boat/paddle boat race! The race will take place the next day, Sunday, Sept. 25 at 11:00am, in Annapolis Harbor, just off the U.S. Naval Academy sea wall.
27th Annual Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival

The Kunta Kinte Heritage Festival returns to the Annapolis City Dock for another exciting year of cultural celebration. In its 27th year, the festival is a free event for all ages to enjoy live performances, world foods and artisan vendors, as well as heritage, and history. There will be unique and handmade arts and crafts, including African art and fashions, a children’s activity tent sponsored by Chesapeake Children’s museum, and lots of fun!
Sixth Annual Singable Feast

Out of the Darkness Community Walk

The Anne Arundel County Out of the Darkness Community Walk is the largest walk in Maryland. Every year suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined, yet suicide prevention doesn't get anywhere near the funding given to other leading causes of death. Eastport Oktoberfest and Beer Can Regatta

The public is cordially invited to attend the First Annual Eastport Oktoberfest and Beer Can Regatta at the Eastport Democratic Club. The historic private club, established in 1929, will host a fun family and pet friendly local Oktoberfest. Along with great food, music and of course plenty of beer, the Chesapeake Outdoor Group will hold their annual beer can regatta, where local sailors and boating enthusiast create astonishing sailing vessels out of beer cans and then race them for bragging rights. We will have rubber ducky races and other activities for the public to participate in.
Anne Arundel County Women’s Fair and Expo

More than 40 vendors and exhibitors will be offering an array of products, services and information for women of all ages. Attendees will be able to participate in a variety of workshops, covering topics including fitness, money management and home repair. Beauty, skin care and wellness professionals from Robert Andrews Salons and Spas will be onsite and offering massages, makeup tips, complimentary skin scans and product samples.

Local artists are invited to draw, paint, and journal what they see around them from three Annapolis locations throughout the day: City Dock 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., State House 11:30 – 12:30 p.m., and Chase Lloyd House Garden 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. The artists’ work will be on display and for sale at the Chase Lloyd House Garden immediately following the SketchCrawl. The public is invited to follow the SketchCrawl throughout the day, then meet the artists at a Wine & Cheese Reception at The Chase Lloyd House Garden.
Homestead Gardens Fall Festival

A family oriented event, the fall festival covers 30–acres including the courtyard and beautiful grounds surrounding Homestead Gardens iconic store and nursery in Davidsonville. Families can enjoy the free hayride around the grounds to the pumpkin patch, where kids can pick their own pumpkin, get lost and found in our 2-acre corn maze, ride the pumpkin express, shoot the corn cannon, and more! The festival also features live music, delicious food and beverages at the Homestead Grille, over 20 attractions, rides, demonstrations, face painting, pony rides, pipe slide, and a giant pillow bounce.
Third Annual Severna Park HS Falcon Athletic Booster Bash

The Falcon Athletic Boosters Club will hold its third annual Booster Bash at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department station. Dinner by Chevys Tex Mex, silent auction, NEW live auction, opportunity wheels and a D.J. The Booster Bash is an annual fundraiser that 100% of the money raised goes back to support the SPHS sports teams and activities that benefit SPHS students and the surrounding community. The presenting sponsor is Oak Contracting LLC. Live and Silent Auction items will be posted on the web site.
Annapolis Run for the Lighthouse
Sunday, September 25th, 8 a.m. (half marathon), 8:45 a.m. (5K), & 9 a.m. (1.25 mile walk)
Lace up your sneakers and head over to Quiet Waters Park for the Annapolis Run for The Light House Half Marathon and Joggin’ Joe Shafran Memorial 5K Run. This event will also include a 1.25 Mile Walk for The Light House. The 1.25 walk and 5K routes will follow the scenic trails inside Quiet Waters Park and the half marathon route will continue through the beautiful waterfront community of Hillsmere Shores.
26th Annual Oktoberfest
This two-block long street festival will include the traditional German food and beer and the amazing Om-pa-pa Band. This year’s festival is a good time to visit the many shops and restaurants in West Annapolis. On the street, there will be over 100 vendors selling everything from bratwurst to fine art. Vendors offer items made locally and others from as far away as Peru and Turkey. This is the time to start your Christmas shopping, or to treat yourself. Well-known jewelry designer, Silvergirl Sterling, will be there along with Annapolis Caramel Company with irresistible candies!
St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Concours d’ Elegance returns to St. Michaels at the Fogg Cove landing portion of the waterfront campus of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. This year’s event will benefit the construction of the new Classic Motor Museum of St. Michaels. The show field on Sunday will feature rare, pre-war European and American coach-built automobiles and post war sports cars. Following the exhibit of automobiles will be an elegant fashion show. Don’t miss an awesome day of Grand Class Motor Cars, classic wooden speed boats, fashion, and casual elegance on Maryland’s Eastern Shore!

Musical entertainment and food stands will add to the cheerful atmosphere.
Fifth Annual Sporting Clays Classic
