Pop-Up Happy Hour: BAROAK

What's Up? Media kicked off its first Pop-Up Happy Hour on Wednesday, September 28th, at BAROAK in Annapolis.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, the complimentary sampling of BAROAK's Green Tomato & Mango Salad with Lump Crab Meat. The tasty appetizer, featured in September's "Taste This!" column, boasts a locally sourced heirloom tomato kissed with Panko breadcrumbs, fried, and accented with genuine Chesapeake Bay crab, accompanied by a mélange of spliced mango, Thai basil, and a citrus-y Ponzu sauce that simultaneously delivers that pop of the subtle, the sweet, and the spicy. 

Guests were also treated to exclusive Pop-Up Happy Hour specials that boasted fabulous fare and indulgent libations for under $5!

If you missed out on the action, be sure to mark your calendars for our next Pop-Up Happy Hour on Tuesday, October 18th at O'Leary's Seafood Restaurant. Stop by from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to mix, mingle, and network, while sampling O'Leary's signature drink -- The Apothecary. This drink melds some traditional holiday-like ingredients with some serious bourbon. The evening also boasts a selection of drink and appetizer specials and offers attendees a glimpse of the new interior touches that make this waterfront staple the place to meet and greet this season.
