Miss Shirley’s Executive Chef Competes on Guy’s Grocery GamesMiss Shirley’s Corporate Executive Chef Brigitte Bledsoe made her second National TV appearance, as a contestant on the popular Food Network series, Guy’s Grocery Games on New Year’s Day. Guy Fieri selected sixteen of his favorite Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives chefs to compete in an epic Grocery Games Tournament. In the first episode of the new season, Chef Brigitte competed alongside three other chefs to race through Flavortown Market and whip up some belly-busting brunch dishes!
Creative Director Rich Reiter Joins The Weitzman AgencyThe Weitzman Agency, a full-service advertising brand agency, announced that it has welcomed Rich Reiter as its new Executive Creative Director. Reiter brings over 16 years of agency experience from Chicago inventing powerful integrated selling ideas for many blue-chip brands such as McDonald’s, KFC, Hyundai, and Miller Coors Brewing to name a few.
The Queen of All Food Drives Collected Equivalent of over 10,000 Pounds of FoodAnnapolis’ favorite sightseeing boat, Watermark’s Harbor Queen, ended her 45th season of cruising with a splash and bearing gifts! Offered by Watermark as a viewing platform for the Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade, an event on Harbor Queen collected 183 pounds of food and $2,780 for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. According to the Food Bank, this is equivalent to 10,383 pounds of food—enough to feed 371 families of four for a month. In total since its inception, the Queen of All Food Drives has collected over $8,700 and 2,200 pounds of food for the Food Bank.
Effective Medspa & Wellness Center Raises Money for Rebecca Fortney Breast Center at AAMCEffective Medspa and Wellness Center, located at The Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, held an unforgettable Ladies’ Night Out, “UnMask Your Beauty” charity event on Thursday, October 27th, 2016, raising $1,300 dollars for Survivors Offering Support, a peer-to-peer mentorship program at the Rebecca Fortney Breast Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC).
Effective Medspa partnered with local businesses to provide entertainment and raffle items for valuable prizes to event guests. Tickets to the event included complimentary makeup and hair touch-ups, a professional glam photoshoot for each guest, entertainment by an illusionist/magician, and tarot readings.
