This Minnesota native has taken his comedic humor and turned it into a three-time Emmy Award-Winning comedy performance. Named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time,” Anderson continues to propel his career forward with his newest television comedy series, Baskets.
Louie Anderson will be performing with Michael Aronin at Rams Head on Stage as part of their Laughs & Drafts Comedy Series, Sunday June 18th. Show times are 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with tickets at $35.

Growing up in Columbia, Maryland, Gallant began writing and creating his own songs after school and was inspired by everything, from ’90s R&B to classic jazz and blues. He attended NYU and took summer classes so he could graduate early, eager to truly begin his musical career. His first online release “If It Hurts” would establish him an online presence and cult following, while 2014’s Zebra EP landed him on Spotify’s viral charts.
Catch this breakout star and future R&B legend, on Tuesday, June 20th at Merriweather Post Pavilion as part of John Legend’s Darkness and Light Tour. Ticket prices vary. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Put on your best attire and party the night away as we celebrate 20 years of What’s Up? Media with our Best Of Winners and readers at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. This year’s silent auction will benefit the South River Federation, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and other local charities. Don Backe Memorial Crab Cup Regatta – Annapolis Yacht Club, Annapolis

The Don Backe Memorial CRAB Cup is generously hosted by the Annapolis Yacht Club (AYC). Any person with disabilities and sailing experience is welcome to participate in the four-race series event. Each boat will have a skipper, two crew members, (one of whom must also be disabled), and accessible seating. There will be two races in the morning, a luncheon (12 p.m.) at the AYC's Yachting Center, and two races in the afternoon followed by a cocktail party, dinner, and awards presentation (5 p.m.).
Yoga at Stage One – Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts, Annapolis

Want to practice your downward-facing dog? MTPA (Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts) is partnering with local yoga instructor Kate Belber to offer outdoor yoga classes this summer! First and third Saturdays of each month through September 16. Participants must bring their own mats. In the event of rain, an alternate indoor location at Park Place may be used. All proceeds benefit MTPA.
Summer Pub Run Series – Quiet Waters Park, Annapolis

Brooks will be hosting the run this time and we are so happy because they will be bringing the New Brooks Glycerin 15 for everyone to take out on a run. We'll meet in the parking lot outside of Quiet Waters Park. Let's do a little meet & greet and slap on some Brooks Glycerins to demo on a three-mile run through the park. When we get back we'll meet up at the Annapolis Smokehouse & Tavern for some hijinks and tomfoolery. We've arranged special happy hour pricing for our group. Oh yeah, all attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a Brooks Goodie Bag.
UM BWMC Blood Drive

UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive in the Dr. Constantine Padussis Conference Center, located on the third floor of the medical center. To give blood, donors must be healthy, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and not have donated blood in the last 56 days or donated double red cells in the last 112 days. First-time donors should bring their driver’s license or two other forms of identification with them, as well as a list of any medications they are currently taking. Those who have donated before should bring their donor card.
Shore Party – Historic London Town and Gardens, Edgewater
Saturday, June 17th, & Sunday, June 18th, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
In celebration of London Town's heritage as a prominent seaport in colonial Maryland, Historic London Town and Gardens is hosting the annual living history event, Shore Party Weekend! Costumed interpreters trained in marlinspike seamanship, navigation, and all aspects of maritime culture will live onsite through the weekend. Stop by the Carpenter Shop and buy some handmade furniture by Seneca Creek Joinery. Throughout the weekend, sailors will practice the art of seamanship. Join them to learn knots, make rope, and try your hand at other sailor crafts.
Louie Anderson – Rams Head On Stage, Annapolis

Iconic comedian Louie Anderson, the three-time Emmy Award winner, is one of the country’s most recognized and adored comics; named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.” His career has spanned more than 30 years. In 2016 Anderson was cast to co-star along with Zach Galifianakis and Martha Kelly in the hit FX comedy series Baskets. Anderson plays the extraordinary role of Christine, the matriarch of the Baskets clan. He based the character on his mother and his five sisters who were all a major presence in his life. Anderson won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Christine Baskets in 2016.

Festival lovers, locavores and supporters of the buy local movement will converge for the inaugural DrinkMaryland: Centreville – A Maryland Makers Festival. The event, presented by the Maryland Wineries Association and the Town of Centreville, will highlight Maryland made products and items and feature an open-air Farmers Market, artisan crafts, fine arts, a contest, live music and food and will take place rain or shine. Entrance to the event is free and open to the public, but guests can also purchase a sampling pass to taste wines, cider, beer and spirits from various craft beverage makers from all across the state in addition to local county wines.
Down River Race – Rock Hall Yacht Club, Rock Hall

The Annual Down River Regatta hosted by the Rock Hall Yacht Club. This is a point to point race, open to all dinghy, one design, or day sailing classes. The race will begin near the Chester River Yacht and Country Club (CRY&CC) dock, run down the Chester River for approximately 12 nm and finish near the entrance to Langford Creek and the Rock Hall Yacht Club (RHYC). The RHYC welcomes all sailors and spectators to enjoy the RHYC facilities, pool, bar, and full menu before, during and after the race.
National Music Festival – Washington College, Chestertown

The seventh season of the National Music Festival at Washington College brings together world-class mentors and gifted apprentice musicians on the cusp of their professional careers. The two groups rehearse and perform together at Washington College and throughout Kent County in orchestral and chamber repertoire. All rehearsals are free and open to the public. Some concerts are free; others require a ticket.
Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival – Various Locations in Easton
Travel the world at the 32nd annual Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival in Talbot County and experience the extraordinary. Ten concerts over two music–filled weeks will feature musicians from the world stage, renowned musical ensembles, and a range of familiar classics–Beethoven, Mozart, Gershwin, Ravel, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, and more from Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Hungary, Russia, and Latin America. The festival also includes the premiere of a Primosch Quintet for oboe, violin, viola, cello and piano, commissioned for Chesapeake Music.
30th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival & The Arts at Navy Point – Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, St. Michaels

Wooden classics, vintage race boats, and other antique and Chesapeake Bay-related boats come to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum for the 30th annual Antique & Classic Boat Festival and The Arts at Navy Point. Hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society (ACBS), this Father’s Day weekend event brings an era of by-gone days.

John Mulaney is an Emmy Award winning writer and comedian. He most recently starred in the Broadway hit, Oh, Hello on Broadway alongside Nick Kroll. In 2015 Mulaney released his third hour stand up special a Netflix Original titled The Comeback Kid. He began his career in New York’s East Village and has since toured around the world. In 2008, he began writing at Saturday Night Live where he appeared as a “Weekend Update” correspondent and co-created characters such as “Stefon” with Bill Hader. He currently writes for IFC’s “Documentary Now” and for Netflix’s “Big Mouth” on which he voices the character of Andrew.
