Selling a home can be a difficult process, and every seller’s experience is different. Some homes sell quickly; others stay on the market longer. Even when a home is under contract, the buyer can change his or her mind. And unexpected circumstances can arise, which can complicate matters. But thanks to the help of a good friend, this charming three-level craftsman-style home finally found the right buyer. Although the transaction was “For Sale by Owner,” the services of Mr. Lister Realty were utilized to list the home on the MLS on March 28, 2017. The property settled on June 21, 2017.
“My business partners, Larry and Sherry Leikin, and I purchased this home as investors from the family of one of my lifelong best friends,” says Brian Chisholm, senior mortgage banker at Capital Bank of Maryland. “They had already moved, but, unfortunately, the sale of the home had fallen through with three days remaining until closing. We knew it would take a substantial investment of time and money to update the home and meet the standards that are prevalent in the highly coveted community of Point Field Landing. But we didn’t spare any expense and knew the home would sell extremely fast even in a higher-end price range. This arrangement worked out great for both sides and was a win-win situation.”

The home has been completely renovated and features a kitchen with sliding glass doors that lead to the Florida room, which overlooks the in-ground pool.
