Mark Martin, Rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell,® has been in practice for over 25 years and has earned recognition for his advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities, particularly children with special education needs.
“This is a complicated area of law and the stakes at risk are the most important ones, our children” says Martin, who annually trains other lawyers at the conference of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, a national organization protecting the rights of students with disabilities. “Our clients are mainly families who are trying to secure their children’s education, and we have to help get them the results they need in the most efficient way possible.”
As the parent of a child with a disability, Alexandra “Allie” Rosenblatt sees first-hand the challenges faced by her clients. “Everyone deserves the right to an education that is tailored to their needs and ambitiously seeks to prepare them for life.” As a former community organizer, Allie has extensive experience working with the community to access services.
Having practiced in this field for over 10 years, Jennifer Falter handles special education, suspension and expulsions cases for public and private entities. “Equality is not something you should have to demand, but when it is not provided we are here to help parents ensure their children are treated fairly and equitably” says Falter.
“It’s been very rewarding handling this type of work,” Martin notes, “especially when we hear from clients years later that their child is excelling because of our legal advocacy.”
