Love’s Labours Lost – St. John’s College Lawn

Annapolis Shakespeare Company presents Love's Labours Lost, a delightful comedy about young love with a surprise ending, performed under the stars. The production is ASC's third annual epic outdoor Shakespeare!

The Nextival gives the local community a place to come together to share in community, art, culture, food, drink, music & entertainment. The Nextival features 20 bands, 27 food trucks, 30 vendors, 10 inflatable entertainment options including putt-putt golf and rock-climbing, a kids play area, and 2 helicopters! Chesapeake Stand Up Challenge – Annapolis Harbor

Saturday, July 14th, 8 a.m.

Grab your paddle and head to the Annapolis Harbour for the 2018 Chesapeake Stand Up Challenge, hosted by East of Maui Surf Shop and the Eastport Yacht Club. Paddlers will have the option to participate in three different courses: a 7-mile challenge for more advanced paddlers, a 3-mile challenge suitable for recreational paddlers, and a 1-mile fun-race.

Claws for a Cause – Fisherman’s Crab Deck, Grasonville

Thursday, July 12th, 6 p.m.

Hosted by University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation, this annual event benefits the UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown. Bring your appetite and enjoy steamed crabs, fried chicken, pork barbeque, assorted sides, and a cash bar. Raffle tickets will also be available.

Paddlepalooza – Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, Grasonville

Saturday, July 14th, 9 a.m.

Join the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center in Grasonville for a fun day on the water. This three-mile, safety-supported paddle through the waters of Cabin Creek, Kent Narrows, and Marshy Creek will give you a new perspective of the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. Enjoy entertainment, food, and cold beer all while benefitting the CBEC’s Kayak Wetland Education Programs. 

Taste of Cambridge – Cambridge Main Street

Saturday, July 14th, 5–10 p.m.

Taste of Cambridge returns to the Eastern Shore. This annual free-access street festival will feature live music from local musicians, a crab cook-off, and a designated kid’s zone with games, competitions, and crafts. Vote for your favorite dish in five different categories during the crab cook-off. 

The Mainstay Gala – Washington College, Chestertown

Saturday, July 14th, 6–10 p.m.

Join the Mainstay for an evening of fun at Rendezvous au Cabaret, a gala to support the popular music venue and their 2018 music scholarship. Enjoy dancing and music by the Conservatory Classic Jazz Band featuring notable D.C.-area jazz singer Lena Seikaly. Indulge in delicious food, silent and live auctions, and the French cabaret atmosphere at this fantastic fundraiser.

Plein Air Easton Art Festival and Competition – Town of Easton

July 15th through July 22nd

Plein Air Easton is the largest and most prestigious juried plein air painting competition in the United States. Approximately 6,000-8,000 people participate in the week-long festival. Artists from all over the US and beyond apply to this competition and those who are selected paint throughout Talbot County during the Festival week. Highlights include the Festival’s Quick Draw Competition and demonstrations, workshops, exhibits and lectures for all ages.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire In Concert – Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Baltimore

Pasadena Theatre Company presents their summer production, Damn Yankees. Joe Boyd sells his soul to the devil, Mr. Applegate, for "one good Long ball hitter" for his team, the Washington Senators. Mr. Applegate grants his wish, turning him into a 22-year-old sports superstar who can must go back to his wife before 9 pm on the final game day if he doesn't want Mr. Applegate to get his soul.

Lake Arbor Jazz Festival – Lake Arbor Community Center, Bowie

Saturday, July 14th, 12 p.m.

Now in its ninth year, the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival is considered on of the region’s premier jazz events. Enjoy performances from some of the area’s best contemporary and traditional jazz and R&B singers, including Rob Zinn, local female band Bela Bona, and Grammy Award Winning Guitarist Norman Brown. The festival will feature over 70 vendors offering guests great food and merchandise. 

Shania Twain – Capital One Arena, Washington

Saturday, July 14th, 8 p.m.

In what promises to be one of the most anticipated tours of 2018, Global superstar Shania Twain has announced that she will hit the road in support of her new album, NOW. These dates mark Shania’s first tour since “Rock This Country” back in 2015. Shania brings her tour to Capital One Arena this weekend for one exciting show!
