9 to 5 The Musical – Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre

Thursday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 5th, 8:30 p.m.

Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre’s final production of the season! Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy, and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! 

Annapolis Crab Feast – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Friday, August 3rd, 5–8 p.m.

Arguably the world's largest crab feast, the event is an all-you-can-eat/drink party organized by Rotary Club of Annapolis. Enjoy freshly steamed #1 male crabs, Maryland crab soup, corn on the cob, beef barbecue sandwiches, watermelon, beer and soda, all while supporting local non-profits.

Dining Court Grand Opening – Westfield Mall

Friday, August 3rd, 5 p.m. and Saturday, August 4th, 2 p.m.

The food court at Westfield Annapolis mall recently underwent renovations, which modernized and revitalized the area for a sleek-looking “food hall.” The new bistro-inspired dining court offers an additional 200 lounge-style seats, white pendant lighting, and dramatic ceiling sculptures. Every weekend this month, Westfield Annapolis is hosting family-friendly events, including a DJ, a sketch artist, cooking lessons for kids, and other fun activities. 

The Bacon Brothers – Rams Head on Stage

Friday, August 3rd and Saturday, August 4th, 6:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.

Most people would agree that there’s nothing stronger, more durable and occasionally, even more volatile, than the bond between brothers. And when that bond includes the common goal of making music, the results often offer reason for an audience to sit up and take notice. Enjoy live music by The Bacon Brothers during four shows over two nights this weekend.

Navy Football Fanfest – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Saturday, August 4th, 10 a.m.

Navy football fans are invited to the 2018 Navy Football Fanfest. The players will be signing autographs and hanging out with fans on the field. Fan Fest activities will include interactive inflatable games, giveaways and live music. The first 250 kids will receive a free t-shirt.

43rd Annual Peach Festival – Eastport United Methodist Church

Saturday, August 4th, 12–5 p.m.

Join Eastport United Methodist Church for its 43rd Annual Peach Festival. Purchase wonderful peach jams, jellies, cakes, pies, and good from local vendors. Enjoy a family style chicken dinner complete with oven-fried or baked chicken, corn-on-the-cob, biscuits, and more.

Uptown Festival – Union Jack’s

Saturday, August 4th, 5 p.m.

Uptown Fest will be the premier Annapolis area Rock n Roll show of 2018. Proceeds from the door will be going toward the Capital Gazette Families Fund, as well as a raffle which will have numerous local art, music, booze, and food related prizes. In addition to over a dozen regional acts playing between two stages, there will be drink specials, interactive art pieces hosted by local artists, as well as local crafts and art for sale.

Annapolis Strong – The Greene Turtle

Sunday, August 5th, 2–8 p.m.

Show your support for our local media during Annapolis Strong, a fundraiser for the Capital Gazette Families Fund. 100% of proceeds raised will donated to the Capital Gazette Victims Fund. Enjoy live entertainment on two stages, local artisans and vendors, and delicious food and drink. This event is family friendly. 

Eastern Shore

Caroline-Dorchester County Fair – Caroline County 4-H Park, Denton

Thursday, August 2nd, 9 a.m.; Friday, August 3rd, 8 a.m.; Saturday, August 4th, 9 a.m.

Bring the family to a weekend of fun at the Caroline-Dorchester County Fair! The fun includes dress-a-goat contest, greased pig contest, baby contest, outhouse races, children’s pedal tractor pull, watermelon eating contest, pony rides, livestock and horse shows, live music, and much more. Plus livestock and horticulture exhibits.

Chesapeake Bay Balloon & Wine Festival – Triple Creek Winery

Friday, August 3rd through Sunday, August 5th, 2 p.m.

Mark your August calendar for The Seventh Annual Hot Air Balloon and Wine Festival in Talbot County Maryland. There will be over 20 hot air balloons, tethered balloon rides, and flights throughout the picturesque country setting. Enjoy delicious food from local vendors and purchase unique goods from craft vendors. Kids can enjoy face painting, hay rides, bounce houses, and more.

Little Bobbers Fishing Derby – Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, Grasonville

Saturday, August 4th, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Join CBEC for its second annual Little Bobbers Fishing Derby. All children will receive a goody bag, lunch, snacks, T-shirt and a chance to win awards and prizes. Awards will be given for each age group to the girl and boy who catch the biggest fish of the Largemouth Bass and Bluegill species. The event will be capped at 100 participants so please register online to save your spot.

The 4th Annual Sudlersville Peach Festival – Godfrey’s Farm, Sudlersville

Saturday, August 4th, 12–5 p.m.

With the best local bands providing live music, community non-profit groups serving great homemade food from pit beef to peach cobbler, local vendors offering their best hand-made crafts, and lots of great family activities, this event is a true community gala that promises to be a great time for the whole family.

Western Shore

Bike to the Beach – Baltimore

Friday, August 3rd, 6 a.m.

Bike to the Beach Baltimore is a fully supported 100-mile Charity Cycling event from Baltimore, MD to Dewey Beach, DE offered to educate our community about the benefits of cycling and to raise awareness and funding for autism. The charity ride goes from Federal Hill in Baltimore to Annapolis, MD; over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (in buses and moving trucks); and through the beautiful farmland of Eastern, MD and the Delaware shore. It ends on the beautiful shores of Dewey Beach where we host finish line festivities for our riders, volunteers, and their friends and families.

2018 Summer Spirit Festival – Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia

Saturday, August 4th & Sunday, August 5th, 2 p.m.

No summer is complete without the sonic adventure that is Summer Spirit Festival and, returning for its 13th anniversary with a monster two-day event, this year's line-up will once again blend the best of Soul, R&B, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Enjoy live performances by Erykah Badu, Nas, Method Man & Redman, The Roots, and many more.
