This Sunday, August 26th, celebrate your furriest family member (well, furriest non-human family member) on National Dog Day! Meet the puppers and doggos of the What’s Up? Media staff, some of which graciously took time out of their busy dog schedules to give us their dog-approved Dog Day celebration suggestions.

Each autumn, the 27-acre Village of Revel Grove in Crownsville comes to life with food, entertainment, and merriment during the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Now in its 42nd season, the festival kicks-off August 25th and runs Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day Monday through October 21st. Enjoy nine weekends of jousting matches, juggling, handmade crafts, feasting, and more.
Friday, August 24th, 8:30 p.m.
Head to Annapolis Towne Center for the last Friday night concert of the summer. Enjoy live music from The Reagan Years while helping save animals by participating in this year’s Rockin’ Raffle. Prizes include gift cards, services, and merchandise from participating Annapolis Towne Centre businesses. All proceeds benefit the Anne Arundel County SPCA.

Join the Friends of Quiet Waters Park for their final summer concert of the season, featuring live music by the Kelly Bell Band.
Sunday, August 26th, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
The Annapolis Color Run is back for its second year. Bring the whole family and join members of the community in the Annapolis Arts District for a fun three-mile walk/run. After the race, enjoy food, live music, and other fun activities.
Saturday, August 25th, 4–7 p.m.
Enjoy local craft beer from Bull and Goat Brewery and Bay Shore Steam Pot seafood while listening to toe-tapping tunes from the Simmons Family bluegrass band! As the day cools down, take a leisurely stroll along the Arboretum's woodland paths and join in a game or two.

Express yourself at Ocean City’s newest and most exciting showcase of the arts! Discover various artists from around the country as well as local artists with work on display and to sell. A variety of music will keep you entertained while you enjoy a selection of food trucks, gourmet vendors, beer and wine. Interactive and unique art activities will provide children an opportunity to create their own masterpiece.

Join the Cambridge Lighthouse Foundation for its third annual Light Night. The event will feature food, dancing, auctions, and door prizes all within sight of the Lighthouse at the Cambridge Yacht Club. This will also be Light (It Up) Night, when the Cambridge Lighthouse Foundation flips the switch on a dramatic new exterior lighting array being installed at the Lighthouse this summer. Proceeds benefit the Cambridge Lighthouse Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to promote visitation to the Lighthouse and enhance the experience of visitors.
