The ARF and Pet Adoption Center of Chester pair up to raise funds for animals at the center. Pets are available for adoption, as well as information on dog training classes, volunteering, sponsorships, spaying and neutering, becoming a foster family, and how to adopt a pet. Enjoy baked goods, hot dogs, and a sidewalk sale.

This event features a race in which teams of two must maneuver their vessel over a predetermined course in a rowboat. The rower is blindfolded and the team partner is restricted to verbal commands only. The Commander’s trophy, “Choptank Cup,” awaits the first to cross the finish line. The Commodore’s trophy, “Cambridge Creek Cup” and prize, awaits the team accumulating the most monetary donations.

This cycling event consists of five routes between 27 and 104 miles in length. The flat-loop routes take in the Upper Shore’s heartland scenery, including farmlands, old country homes, quaint towns, and country stores. The 27-mile loop, for those wanting a less-challenging ride, goes through historic Chestertown. Proceeds benefit Chestertown Lions Club projects such as the Leader Dog Program for the Blind.
