CASA is shaking things up this year with their annual spring fundraiser, Havana Nights, scheduled for Saturday, May 20th, 6–10 p.m. at The Waterfowl building in historic downtown Easton. Vibrant colors, authentic cuisine, crafty cocktails, and salsa music will transport patrons to Havana, Cuba.
This unique party promises to be an exciting night for all attendees! This annual event raises funds for CASA of the Mid Shore’s work with children who are under court protection in Talbot, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, and Kent Counties due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. A special unveiling will also take place during Havana Nights.
Local waterfowl artisan WG Sutter graciously donated a special work of art to help raise money for CASA prior to his untimely passing in October of 2016. Appropriately named Legacy, this sculpture will feature a family of ducks – hen, drake, and three ducklings – expertly and meticulously carved from individual pieces of solid white pine. Legacy will be unveiled at the event and then marketed online to the local community as well as to collectors across the country. Reservations are $150 per person.Visit Event Website for More Info
