Gampopa Center Blessing of the Animals
All pets and their caretakers are invited to join Tibetan master and Annapolitan Lama Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche in a Blessing of the Animals service. According to Buddha’s teachings, animals continue to take rebirths just as human beings do, and their rebirth depends on their karma. Reciting precious sutras and letting them hear dharma teachings creates limitless good karma for them, so they can find peace and happiness in their next life. This will be a cause for them to achieve higher rebirths and eventually attain enlightenment. Rinpoche tells us that having a blessing ceremony for your pets is the most beneficial thing you can do for them. The ceremony will be held outdoors. All animals must controlled at all times and be up to date on vaccines. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. Trash cans, a water source and horse trailer parking are available. Please let us know you’re coming! RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
