ArtWorks for Freedom
ArtWorks for Freedom tells the story of the reality and effects of human trafficking and modern day slavery. This three week art event, taking place in Easton, Friday September 8th through Sunday October 1st will provide opportunities to engage the community in discussions about human exploitation.
The Waterfowl Building will serve as headquarters for the program, anchored by a multi-media art exhibit including a selection of works by local artists.
Supporting events include films, lectures and participatory art experiences taking place at various venues throughout Easton, including the Academy Art Museum and Talbot County Free Library.
The event is a collaboration of the Artistic Insights Fund of the Mid Shore Community Foundation with ArtWorks for Freedom, a global antitrafficking initiative based in Washington D.C.
The Easton event will signal the kickoff for a larger campaign in the Washington DC metro area October 2017.Visit Event Website for More Info
