Women Artists of the West (WAOW)

The McBride Gallery in downtown Annapolis, known as one of the most historic cities in America, is hosting Women Artists of the West’s 47th National Juried Exhibition; the oldest most revered juried women’s arts organization in the country. McBride Gallery is a classic representational gallery. Gallery artists cover a range of subjects and styles including American Impressionist, Tonalist, Dutch Old Master, Folk Art, Trompe l’Oeil, and Luminist. Major subject themes are landscape, marine, still life, and figurative work. Awards Juror, Lisa Egeli, an internationally acclaimed master portrait and landscape artist will judge the show. Egeli has been given the task of selecting award winners from over 100 works of art, paintings and sculpture. A painting demonstration and talk by Egeli will be held on Saturday, November 4th from 2:30– 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The McBride Gallery will award $25,000 in cash and prizes to some of the finest women artists in the country.
