Cassie & Maggie MacDonald

From Nova Scotia

Nova Scotian sisters Cassie and Maggie have been lighting up the world with their unique blend of traditional and contemporary Celtic instrumentals and vocals. Appearing on stages across North America, the UK, and Europe, the sisters have enchanted audiences far and wide with lively fiddle, piano and guitar arrangements. Their stunning sibling vocal harmonies in both English and Gaelic are complemented by their intricate and percussive stepdancing style. The sisters were named 2016 Live Ireland Radio’s “VOCALISTS OF THE YEAR.” This program is made possible by the generous support of the Talbot County Arts Council with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council, and by the Mid-Shore Community Foundation (MSCF), Dock Street Foundation, Brookletts Place, the Artistic Insights Fund, and by individual contributions to the Carpe Diem Arts Outreach Fund/MSCF. These monthly 45-minute performances are FREE and open to the public.
Lunch is available at 12 noon with advance reservations for $2.75. RSVP: 410-822-2869 / jneal@uppershoreaging.org More information: busygraham@carpediemarts.org or 301-466-0183 www.CarpeDiemArts.org / Facebook: Carpe Diem Arts on the Shore
