Celebration of Charity Awards Luncheon
Chesapeake Charities will pay tribute to those on the front lines of the opioid crisis and the hope they bring to addicts and families during its “Celebration of Charity” awards luncheon.
This year’s honorees are Bernie Fowler, Jr., Philanthropist of the Year, Joe Gamble, Volunteer of the Year, and the Samaritan House, Nonprofit of the Year.
The celebration features several prominent presenters involved in efforts to combat the opioid crisis including Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford and Clay Stamp, Executive Director of the Governor’s Opioid Operational Command Center.
Keynote speaker, Lisa Hillman, development professional and author of Secret No More, A True Story of Hope for Parents with an Addicted Child, will share her message of hope for recovery from addiction.
First Lady Yumi Hogan will present the Governor Larry Hogan Scholarship to a deserving student who is pursuing a career in medical research. The scholarship was established at the 2016 awards luncheon honoring Governor Hogan.Visit Event Website for More Info
