Description:

Bob Grieser’s Lens on the Chesapeake is a photography exhibition featuring both black and white and color images, showcasing iconic photos of life on the Chesapeake Bay, and of the Bay itself. The late Bob Grieser (1946–2017) was a photojournalist who worked for the Indianapolis Star, Washington Star, Los Angeles Times, and Chesapeake Bay Magazine. In 1990, Grieser published Chesapeake Bay, an art book featuring his black-and-white photography. An exhibition entitled Capturing the Spirit of the Chesapeake Bay, drawn in part from the photographs in his book, toured to museums from St. Michaels to San Diego in the following years. This exhibit features 15 photographs selected from Grieser’s earlier one, Capturing the Spirit.
