Pass the Grated Cheese Please (Cooking Class) with Cheese & Wine Tasting Friday March 2nd, 6:0PM-9:00PM Guest Chef: Alba Johnson Alba is a cooking instructor and personal chef specializing in southern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Her recipes are rustic, simple and vibrant in taste. Instructor: Mia Jones Mia is our in-store Cheese Monger and Team Leader for the Specialty department. She is a Certified Cheese Professional (CCP) for the American Cheese Society (ACS). Her passion is to educate and share her wealth of knowledge with others. Enjoy the art of team work with Chef Alba, Mia our Certified Cheese Professional, and our friends from Bin 201 as we start the evening with a cheese and wine pairing. Taste the cheeses that will be used in Chef Alba's recipes selected by Mia. We then will continue with a cooking class with Chef Alba to explore an array of delicious dishes. Grated Parmigiano and Pecorino are two of the most beloved cheeses in Italy that cannot be missed on a dinner table. A plate of pasta seems incomplete if it’s not served with a sprinkling of grated cheese. Let’s discover and savor delicious dishes using these treasured cheeses such as Nodini (bread knots) di Parmigiano with Marinara, Petto di Pollo con Spinaci e Ricotta, and Tortini di Verdure e Formaggio Cost: $55.
