Childrens Art Day in St. Michaels
Featuring the "Fishmobile"
If you’re looking for a fun, educational way to spend time with the kids or grandkids, don’t miss “Children’s Art Day” in St. Michaels. The event takes place on the lawn of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 304 S. Talbot St., St. Michaels, MD. The event is open to all children K-8th grade. The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) supplies all materials needed: acrylic paints, panels, brushes, easels, etc. SMAL members will be on hand to assist and guide the budding artists. Old clothes are suggested.
This year the Fishmobile, a traveling aquarium from Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, will be on hand. Kids can tour the Fishmobile to learn about bay creatures and perhaps be inspired to paint them! This program is funded in part by a grant from the Talbot County Arts Council with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council. Supplies donated by Ben Frankln Craft Store in Easton.
