National Music Festival

Two Weeks of Classical Nirvana

The National Music Festival at Washington College brings together professional musician mentors and the next generation of gifted young musicians, providing education, scholarships and affordable, adventurous public performances. For two weeks each June the musicians engage in intense music making . . . presenting over 35 concerts — including solo recitals, small groups, chamber orchestras and large symphony orchestra performances, some including vocal soloists and chorus. During the festival hundreds of free, open rehearsals are held around Chestertown. The National Music Festival is an exhilarating experience for music lovers of all ages.
