Miss Shirley's Finally Opens in Annapolis
Restaurant Review: Graffiato in Washington, D.C.
Typically, we don't stray too far outside Annapolis or the Eastern Shore on this blog. However, Graffiato in Washington, D.C., is owned by Mike Isabella, who you might know as a two-time contestant on Top Chef. Most recently, he finished as the runner-up on Top Chef: All-Stars, where he gained a reputation as an abrasive Italian Jerseyite.
The aftermath of Irene (it doesn't stop me from cooking!)
If you're anything like me, you might be sick of hearing about how Hurricane Irene has affected our area. Can you stomach just a bit more?
The biggest problem still affecting our area, obviously, is power outages. It seems like who has power and who doesn't is really hit or miss. Unfortunately, the building that What's Up? Annapolis is housed in does not have power, so after spending some time walking around downtown Annapolis this morning, I'm back at home on my laptop.

Old Stein Inn rises from the ashes
