Only a junior, Vosters is well on her way to a star-studded career on the golf course. This July, Vosters won the Junior PGA National Championship at the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass. Her three-round score of 228 gave her a three-stroke victory over competitors from all over the United States as well as Italy and the Virgin Islands. In September, Vosters won the Philadelphia Junior PGA tournament. She also finished last year ranked third in the International Junior Golf Tour for the under-15 age group and first in the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference. Vosters scoring average is currently a 38 for nine holes, which places her somewhere between a one and four handicap. Head Coach Kevin Gates says he’s spoken to dozens of schools on Vosters’ behalf after her successful summer tournament season. “I tell them all, as good a golfer as she is, she’s a ten-times better kid,” he says. “Maybe that’s a cliché, but in her case, she really is a special person. She wants to go to the next level, and the level after that. She wants to take golf to the top, and I don’t see any reason that she won’t.”
