We stayed at a great B&B next door to 208 two years ago. We weren't planning to eat there, but a rain storm caused us to look closer than we had planned. What a great accident. We've been back to 208 on every trip to St Michaels since. Great servers serving from a really creative menu, terrific wine list and a laid-back, but sophisticated ambiance. If you come once, you'll be back again and again!

The menu made great use of traditional ingredients by repurposing them in interesting ways. The service was attentive and the ambience comfortable.

We weren't that hungry and so opted for the bar instead of the prix fixe menu in the main dining room. We ordered an appetizer an entree to share. They had the gall to charge us an $18 sharing charge even though they just brought out our food as if they were serving one person -- no additional plates or silverware. Chintzy to say the least. I wrote to the manager who never responded.
